Seven years ago, Grace Bible Church in Houston started hosting experiential discipleship trips in western North Carolina...
These trips were designed to train people to make disciples and to provide an opportunity to develop rich relationships through outdoor activities. The trips were immediately impactful, and as word spread, the number of trips started to grow. This year we took trips for men, young adults, married couples, and high schoolers.
We have found these trips to be incredibly effective for building relationships and for equipping disciple-makers. Therefore, we decided to start a separate non-profit to export this training to other churches. That is when Hilltop Adventures was born!
